Mother's Day

I am so super lucky that these girls are mine! I had a wonderful day. Nathan and the girls really let me relax and do absolutely nothing. It was glorious. I am beyond blessed to be their Mommy and couldn't imagine life without them!

Lily just has a couple weeks of school left. Her teacher sent me these pics the other day. She has changed so much over the school year and become so much more confident and outgoing. Love this girl to pieces.

Me and Miss Priss went on a couple walks recently. We made it a little over 2 miles before she was over the stroller.

These girls are too much pretty much all the time. Their cuteness nearly kills me dead everyday. They had to bring their backpacks to dinner and play with them on the porch the next day.

along with the pillow and blankets from Lily's room. They were pretending to sleep. So random but whatever entertains them.

We finally got to meet my good friends niece. She was precious and Lily loved her. Both girls are actually pretty into babies.

Too much for words. Chunky legs in a cute bathing suit, and swinging like such a big girl.

This smile...... I die.

I love how these little girls of mine like to pose for the camera. Avery immediately says "I see" and she loves to watch videos I've taken of them on my phone. She calls them "bideos".

This doggy girl likes to cuddle wherever we are after the girls have gone to sleep. She's a pretty sweet girl too.

My birthday was yesterday and I got some yummy strawberries from my friend Anthony. Lily was super excited. They were super yummy.

We went to dinner then came home and enjoyed cookie cake on the porch. Cookie cake is my go to birthday dessert. I mean every year. What's your favorite?

And as if you haven't seen enough cuteness for one post, the girls finally opened their goggles they got in their Easter baskets. Avery called them "goggies" and they wore them in the tub. I so love these girls!

California Adventure-- Disneyland

Going to Disneyland has always been a dream of mine. When we knew we were heading out to California it was a must that we had to go to Disneyland. In one word it was AWESOME. So fun, and my sis was the perfect person to go with for the first time!

We went to California Adventure the first day.
I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

We really didn't know there were 2 separate lines for the ferris wheel. We got in the swinging gondola line and it definitely was a wild ride we weren't quite expecting.

Cars Land was pretty cute. I recommend getting the fast pass for Radiator Springs Racer which is the big attraction here. We did single rider and still waited probably 30 to 40 minutes, which was probably the longest we waited for any ride in either park. You have to go immediately to get the fast pass though or they will be gone.

We are so mature. :)

After riding/seeing a ton of stuff in California Adventure we used our park hoppers and went over to Disneyland.

The first site of the castle was crazy. It is so small compared to Disney World. We were a little shocked. We knew it was smaller but the difference is crazy. The first day we just hopped on Pirates of the Caribbean since the line wasn't too bad and got the lay of the land for the next day since we would be heading there first thing.

We dinner at Carthay Circle in the evening and then had priority viewing for the World of Color show that evening.

We had a great day exploring California Adventure and Disney Land. We saw and rode everything we wanted and really enjoyed our experience.

The next morning we were up bright and early for the park opening. We planned to spend the whole day at Disneyland.

Walt Disney had a personal apartment for his family above the fire station on Main Street. Pretty amazing to know that he actually walked around this park.

We got fast passes for Indiana Jones then went to Fantasyland. We were able to ride and see pretty much everything in this area since it wasn't packed yet.

We had lunch at the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square. It's neat because the Pirates of the Caribbean ride runs straight through the restaurant. We also had to get our pictures taken outside of the secret Club 33

We had so much fun and pretty much rode every ride we wanted to. The only thing we missed out on was the Nemo submarine ride. I think the key is to definitely get there when the park opens and get fast passes for the rides you definitely want to ride. We didn't have to wait in very many long lines and were able to walk on to stuff in the morning that had super long lines in the afternoon.

And for your entertainment, a super unflattering picture of me. I'm not sure if it's getting older or what, but I can't seem to stomach the roller coaster like I used too.

After eating dinner in the park we had to head back to our hotel and pick up our luggage to head to the airport. We took the red eye and that was definitely an experience.

I missed my sweet girls so much and can not wait to take them back to Disneyland!

Insta Friday

Linking up my cell phone pics:

life rearranged

This is my inlaws dog Cinnamon. She is probably the sweetest, most calm dog I know. She is so patient with the girls. Lily was protecting her from bees here I believe. The girls just love her.

We went to hang out with my sister. She is now the owner of our childhood home. It makes me happy to see they girls playing in the same places I did as a child. Playing the same games too.

Then we ventured up to the attic, which has a wide array of our old toys from the 80's and 90's. It's like going back in time up there.

Ave decided she was a baby.

We had a little jammie incident. These have lasted through 2 sets of piggies and lots of washing.

Super sweet hugs for Daddy.

Avery helped me take Dixie to the vet last week. She was super good the whole hour we were there. Dixie got her allergy shot and flea/heart worm pill. This poor dog has the worst allergies and fleas are seem way more attracted to her. We fight to keep them off.

Self portraits by Ave.

Super girl after her nap, and playtime in her room.

Poor Avery got her first skinned knee. She kept saying "what happened Mom" over and over. It was pretty pitiful.

Lily had a field trip to the library. Her little class walked all the way there and back. I was impressed and they were all very good.

Then sissy got in on the story time action. So cute I could scream.

I tried to make Avery's birthday super fun for her. Nathan had school so we had a girls day. Presents in the morning before Daddy had to leave. Special birthday breakfast and lunch with treats all around.

In the evening we had family over for pizza and a couple gifts. The cousins came in from NC.

And just a couple more of the birthday girl enjoying her gift from Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike after her party. I think she had a good time.

This girl just makes me smile with her silliness.

And yay! for a decent shot of me and my girl. I usually look weird. : )
